How should I decide what distance to enter?
We have two distances to choose from. The longer routes are for the more experienced rider. The shorter routes are more inclusive and are for those new to organised cycling events, or the more experienced riders simply wanting a shorter, but nonetheless enjoyable day out.

What sort of bike should I have?
Don't worry you don't have to own the latest carbon fibre machine to enter any of our events. However, we would ask that you use a bicycle that is in good working order that has been recently serviced by either you or a bike shop. As long as you are able to complete the route within the time limits, road worthy bikes of any sort are permitted to be used.

Do I need to take a repair kit with me?
All participants will be expected to carry a spare inner tube fit for their bike, as well as a basic tool kit for simple roadside repairs, which they will be expected to administer. Service centres will be available at each of the feed stations where you will be able to have basic bike repairs made for a small donation to charity.

Do I need to wear a helmet?
Yes. Every participant of our events MUST wear a helmet, which must be presented at registration to ensure it meets the relevant safety standards. Any participant seen not wearing their helmet whilst on their bike will be disqualified from the event.

What is the minimum age to be to be able to enter?
The minimum age to enter our events of 50km or above is 16. Riders under the age of 18 must present a completed and signed parental consent form at registration on the day of the sportive. The parental consent form can be found here.

Is there an event for families and children?
Making sure kids and their families aren't left out, we will be holding a family friendly ride that will be a leisurely jaunt accessible to all abilities.

Do you provide maps of the routes?
We will be publishing route maps in due course and every participant will receive a route map at registration.

Can I transfer or cancel my entry?
You can find full details of our cancellation and refunds policy.
